still kinda suffering from yesterdays hang-over. if one would believe colleagues, i really looked depleted today. i blame partial insomnia and temperatures.
it also seems to be the time of announcements. after diablo 3 and rock band 2 were officially announced in the last 2 days, one of my superiors told me today that he quitted effectively last thursday. so he’ll be around for another 3 weeks, then he’s off consuming the rest of his holidays and will officially leave the company mid-september. this sucks on several levels, as i for one thing acutally enjoyed working with him and for the other thing am not pleased with the prospects for his replacement within the company. or whatever constructs they’ll come up.
my hope to be fully assigned to the other project and keeping the office we’re in (which is too small for 3 but surely good enough for 2) were already ruined by the next announcement - that we (the other superior and me) will move to the next one. i guess it was meant as some kind of pacifier, to show that everything is still fine. and irony strikes again when considering the one making this stale reassurement-statement was also the reason for the other one quitting.
